Rear Admiral Philip Reginald Marrack

Rear Admiral Philip Marrack passed away in June 2014 aged 1942.  He attended Eltham College between 1930 and 1939, joining the Royal Navy in 1940 after leaving school.

Awarded a CB (Companion of the Order of the Bath) in the Queen’s birthday honours list in 1979, he retired from the Royal Navy in 1981 as a Rear Admiral.

A member of both the Institute of Mechanical and Marine Engineers, Rear Admiral Marrack enjoyed fishing and gardening during his retirement.
